Is your kitchen bursting with vegetable goodness like mine? I recently brought some pears to a friend’s doorstep whereupon she immediately attempted to load off her bounty on me. I graciously accepted most of her offerings, but had to decline a few. So I have beautiful, rich eggplant, cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes and more tomatoes (fried green tomatoes – yum!), swiss chard, carrots, onions, zucchini, cucumber and squash.

Are you cooking and preserving like mad to take advantage of your garden’s offerings?

I must admit to wishing I lived in a climate that allowed an outdoor garden year round. I enjoy how few trips I’ve made to the grocer this season.
