knitting, booze and babies

I can classify myself as a knitter 101, meaning I am a true novice. When I was invited to this circle of lovely knitting women recently I feared my lack of skill would get me thrown out the door, so I grabbed my camera in hopes of making myself useful while the rest got to work with wool.

I was relieved to find I wasn’t the only beginner, and the women with experience were only too happy to coach us frustrated newbies along. I didn’t actually pick up the sticks, I did however eat, drink, laugh, pinch the cheeks of nearby babies and take pictures. Next time I will step tentatively into the unknown waters of knitting… maybe.
