The gorgeous summer-like weather prompted a G&T gathering in my friend Vicki’s backyard on Good Friday. Most of us pulled our shorts and t-shirts from underneath our more wintry apparel and were sitting enjoying each others company when David walked through the picket fence gate in his dapper suit. We all ooohed and aaahed and generally cheered his efforts at making our gathering more upscale. Of course I had to take a few snaps of this very appropriate coloured Easter suit. I hope you all enjoyed your holiday weekend!
Well, well, happy almost officially Spring. The weather has been lovely, the ice on the lake has disappeared, I’m riding my bicycle once again and now we have jumped ahead an hour which makes me a sleepy, yet utterly contented gal.
This image is of a friend’s farm that I visited yesterday and tomorrow I leave for a road trip to NYC. I’m looking forward to my solo drive through the Adirondacks and Catskills, hanging out with friends and walking around with my camera, inspired by the unfamiliar territory.
Have a great week!
This image was taken back in November, but if you’ve seen the weather here in the past couple of days, it could have been taken recently. It has been spring like outside, giving me a bounce in my step and some hope that this ‘winter of my discontent’ will not last indefinitely. No, it hasn’t been a harsh winter by any stretch, but it has felt long since I’ve seen leaves on trees and felt a warm breeze on my skin, and I’m long since tired of wearing my winter coat. A friend appropriately named this tree years ago, Medusa. I see her every day during my run.
