For many months I have been doing the leg work towards obtaining dual citizenship and after a lot of effort, it has finally come to pass as evidence here by my American passport. I was able to obtain this through my mom who is American. I figured it would be to me advantage to have given the transferable skills of my profession. Happily, I have 2 weddings, a portrait and a couple of band sessions already booked for this year in the U.S. and hopefully more to come!
This past week I attended 2 funerals and booked 3 photo sessions. The two have nothing in common other than it is rare that either of them occur in multiples within the stretch of one week. Saturday I fled west of Kingston to the peace and beauty of Prince Edward County to a friend’s home that felt more like a retreat. As soon as I arrived I knew I wouldn’t want to leave. Eric is the owner of this lovely abode and some 160 acres of field and forest that we happily tromped through. He is a gracious host and also a member of the band The Spin Doctors. The images below are clearly unedited snap shots. I was much too eager to settle into relaxation than spend my time creating images, so snap I did. I hope you can appreciate my motive to unwind and enjoy the company of friends and new surroundings.
