I am absolutely thrilled to announce that the photography club I have been coaching at Sydenham High School won bronze and gold medals at yesterday’s Skills Canada Competition here in Kingston! This means the gold medal winner will now move onto the Provincial Championships. We also won 4th, 5th and 7th place out of seventeen competitors within the Photography competition. I am over the moon happy and proud of everyone’s accomplishments. Wahoo!
This week I photographed a ceremony Kingston’s Mayor Gerretsen was holding for outgoing city councilors. They each received a gift for their time and dedication to city council in the form of a wooden chair with their name etched on a plaque, a ring, or a tree planted in their name.
This Saturday I will be doing a portrait shoot on Wolfe Island, and then later attending and photographing a benefit Chocolate Gala at Queen’s University. It means I get a chance to be all dolled up – what a treat! (and the chocolate doesn’t hurt either! ;-))
