I took images for Kingston Life’s Personality Profile for their July/August issue. You can view/read it here.
I photographed this lovely family many years ago before I officially hung my shingle as a portrait photographer. Their kids were in elementary school then, and now the twins are headed off to post secondary education come fall – wow, how time flies and my, how tall these kids have grown! Post session I was treated to a tasty beer I hadn’t tried before and sent home with a jar of their own honey. They are an active, intelligent, kind, and I’ll say it again, lovely family. They made my job super easy.
*For anyone who is interested in fresh local produce, the mom of this crew, Kathy, operates a CSA on their property, Vegetables Unplugged.
I love how casually her hand fell into his back pocket as they walked. It is my job and my delight to “see” and capture these loving gestures.
The family worked their formal wear as the twins were getting ready to attend their senior formal.
However I prefer my clients best in their everyday clothes as it speaks to more of who they are which easily comes across in their images. This family was wonderful for me as a photographer who enjoys capturing people in their natural element. They were relaxed, fun and took what little direction I gave them easily – a dream come true!
What better song to listen to among family and friends at your birthday dinner table than Hava Naglia. Have a listen.
