Sarah & Colin had an intimate Fort Henry wedding in one of their small dining rooms laced with old brick and limestone on the walls and ceiling that spoke of its history.

What struck me as funny after I posted these wedding images is how many compliments I received on their creativity and also, how at ease the couple appear in front of the camera. A lovely couple, these two were anything BUT comfortable in front of my lens! Two shy and private individuals, I leaned into my decades of experience paying attention to individuals, and gently guided and pulled aspects of their personalities I could see existed. Quickly, their humour and ease with one another took center stage, and we were off creating memorable photos.

I know first hand how utterly uncomfortable it is to be in the spotlight in front of a camera. Trust me, I know and it is my job, and one I’m very skilled at, in helping you feel at ease, and in the end, tell me how much fun you had, because I hear that phrase at the end of every shoot and it’s a badge I wear proudly.
