There’s a peek at the Colorado River.
Those are two people standing on the edge.
Not sure if I’ll ever be able to say I’ve watched the sunrise rise on the Canyon again, but I’m grateful to be able to say it at all.

A morning hike. The vistas were always beautiful. I got choked up at this lookout spot, feeling so grateful to have the opportunity to see this incredible landscape with my own eyes.
We were told by most everyone we met in Sedona that Airport Road sported the best location to view the sunset in Sedona. It didn’t disappoint. The crowd of people gathered were obviously told the same thing. ; )
Being two early birds, we were eager to get up and explore the beautiful area of Sedona in the morning. Our early morning explorations generally followed a soak in the hot tub and breakfast, but this particular morning we wanted to catch the sunrise and I’m so happy we did. We wound our way up a tiny steep hill of a road and found ourselves parked inside an escarpment from which to explore our immediate surroundings as well as a lookout on the town. It thrilled me to wake and be greeted by these gorgeous red rocks each morning. This second image you can see a hot air balloon making its rise. I counted 4 by the time we left this spot.
